A NEW area manager for the south west has joined KEENAN.
Chris Chance, who will be based in Bodmin, Cornwall, has joined the team at KEENAN as regional business manager for the south west. He has 18 of experience at Genus ABS, where he managed the fertility of nine herds in the south east of Cornwall.
Throughout his career, Chris has taken on various on-farm roles, from assisting as a herdsman on a 300-head Jersey cow unit to managing a 1,000-cow unit.
He has also spent time at Bovine Fertility Improvement Services, providing essential technical support and fertility services directly to farms. Recently, he was area sales manager at Smaxtec.
A spokesperson for KEENAN said: "With a wealth of experience and a passion for enhancing livestock fertility, Chris is a trusted and respected figure in the industry, continuously driving innovation and excellence in his field.
"Given his wealth of experience in the agricultural sector and knowledge of dairy production systems specifically, Chris is an asset to the KEENAN team and KEENAN customers within his area.
"Having witnessed first-hand in his previous roles how well the KEENAN diet feeders coupled with the Alltech InTouch advisory team can work on all sorts of different systems, Chris looks forward to supporting the efficiency and profitability of more beef and dairy farmers."
Chris will be covering Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Berkshire and south west Wales.
