A POPULAR agricultural show is taking place tomorrow (Saturday, July 27).
The Mid Devon Show, which will take place at Knighthayes near Tiverton, will start at 8:30am with the main show finishing at 5:30pm. The show is a charity which aims to promote agriculture in the area through education.
The show supports young people with scholarships and also raises money for a nominated charity. This year, money raised will be go towards helping the Marie Curie charity.
Colin Nation, show organiser, said: “I can honestly say that this year’s entertainment is unbelievable. From the Main Ring, Livestock Areas, Countryside Arena, Dog Ring and Music Fest there is something for everyone.
"The Main Ring headline act this year will be the internationally renowned Stannage Stunt Show performing breath-taking jumps and stunts. In addition to the normal Main Ring favourites, we will also have The Shetland Pony Racing Team, A Sheep Dog Display, Young Farmers, Classic Tractor Parade. This full day of entertainment is all included in your entry ticket."
There will be a Countryside Area with ferret racing, birds of prey and more. There will also be a range of livestock competitions, with cattle, sheep, pygmy goat and heavy horses competing. The Devon Cavy Club will be holding their guinea pig competition.
Visitors can bring dogs and join in with the dog show. You can also take a selfie with the Aldabra Giant Tortoises.
The Music Fest area will feature performances from choirs and bands. The New Jersey Boys will perform at the end of the show.
There will also be a food and drink marquee, the Magpie Market Marquee and a craft marquee, as well as 300 outside trade stands.
