A derelict farm building in Trowbridge has become an area where fires are being started.
A crew from Trowbridge fire station were called to a derelict building fire in Green Lane on Tuesday, July 23 at 6.17pm.
A police officer at the scene told a Wiltshire Times photographer that several calls have been made about fires in the area.
It is understood that people are setting fires next to the derelict barn close to the Paxcroft Mead housing estate.
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “One fire engine was mobilised and on arrival, the crew found a small pile of wood alight which was extinguished using wildfire packs and buckets of water.
“The stop came in at 6.37pm and they left the scene shortly after.”
