A COUNTRY show, which has been running for 122 years, is taking place later this month.
The Chagford Agricultural and Horticultural Show will be held on Thursday, August 15 2024. It will take place on the banks of the Teign at Mill End (postcode: TQ13 8JN), thanks to The National Trust, Malseed Family, Mr P Morrish, Mr H de Ferranti and Miss B Hayter-Hames.
There will be free parking at the show, with free buses from Moretonhampstead and Chagford.
The show will include a range of livestock competitions, as well as classes for agricultural produce and a vintage section. With more than 200 trade stands, a rural craft area, food hall, beer tent and live music, there will be lots for visitors to enjoy.
In the main ring, there will be the Bob Hogg Lamb National Sheep Race, a sheep dog show, a display of lumberjack skills, a terrier race, parade of vintage tractors and more.
The organisers of the show said: "The Chagford Show has something for everyone and is a great family day out- come and see for yourself.
