VISITORS from across Devon flocked to the Mid Devon Show last month.

Guests enjoyed a day out at the show on Saturday, July 27 2024 at Knightshayes in Tiverton. There were a range of livestock competitions, food and drink stalls, animals on show, classic vehicles, music and more.

Chris Nation, show organiser, said it was a 'record attendance' on the day.

"Thank you to everyone who came and supported our event which in turn supports our charitable aims," he said.

"I am led to believe that this may well have been a record attendance. With all those unexpected people comes traffic which put a particular strain on the parking and gates at the showground. Thank you to everyone for their patience in entering and exiting the area, but I know from feedback that this was all forgotten once inside and enjoying the amazing show.

"Many words could be used to describe the unbelievable efforts of our volunteers to organise and steward this year show. This coupled with the fantastic support of our livestock exhibitors, traders, vehicle owners and performers who all contributed to giving our visitors a great day out.

"Work has continued by our volunteers throughout this week over at the show ground and here in the office. I do hope that they are able to finish this week and have a well deserved rest."
