Emergency roadworks could impact travel to and from a popular Dorset show.
Organisers of the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show - which takes place on Wednesday, August 14 and Thursday, August 15, at the Turnpike Showground in Motcombe - have been informed of last-minute emergency road closures in the area.
These will be taking place from August 12-16.
The urgent repairs will take place in Melbury Abbas/Spread Eagle Hill, which will be closed four days.
Show Organiser Cat Harris said: "We have received notification of this work with less than a week to go before our annual rural show. I am assured by Dorset Council that clear signage will be in place to divert traffic onto the A30 and keep it flowing as easily as possible.
"The timing is not ideal but out of our hands. According to Dorset Council, the closure is because of urgent highways works that cannot be postponed."
"Traffic in the area gets very busy with exhibitors and visitors to the show so we would urge anyone coming to the show to be aware of these issues in advance of travelling and perhaps allow more time to get to and from the showground."
