VISITORS headed to the young farmer county offices in Somerset earlier this month, to celebrate 90 years of the club.
Ex-members, previous chairmen and presidents of Somerset YFC attended the 90th anniversary celebration cream tea on Sunday, August 11.
Nearly 100 people enjoyed a Pimms or a cup of tea at the event, alongside a cream tea that included sandwiches, cake and scones. The food was prepared by Joy Davenport, a long standing ex member of Ilminster YFC.
County chairman of Somerset YFC, Sam Wade, addressed the visitors and thanked them for attending.
Catherine Look, a former county chair and president (now vice president of the club), did a short presentation about YFC, sharing the benefits of the clubs - personal development, life skills, memories and lifelong friendships. She finished with a toast to Somerset YFC's 90 years.
A spokesperson for Somerset YFC: "A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported our 90th Cream Tea Celebration it was wonderful to see so many and listen to your YFC adventures.
"A very big thank you to our wonderful helpers, we can’t do it without you and are always in need of more helpers if anyone would like to get stuck in at future events!"
