A DAIRY farmer from Cornwall - who recently came third in the Soil Farmer of the Year competition - is hosting a farm walk next month.
Ben Richards is inviting guests to Middle Trelan Farm Ltd on Thursday, September 12, from 2pm until 5pm.
The farm walk will give visitors an opportunity to discover how Ben's work led him to come third place in the Farm Carbon Toolkit and Innovation for Agriculture's Soil Farmer of the Year competition.

Ben has built his farm around resilient soils to provide forage and nutrition to his herd rather than relying on imports.
He focuses on using herbal leys to manage the challenges of mixed soils on the farm, with some very heavy clays and areas of lighter sands.
Ben has also established an agroforestry system, designed to provide further feed for the cattle and also provide a natural drainage solution.
There will be light refreshments at the farm walk, and guests are advised to wear suitable clothing and footwear.
