MORE than 18,000 people attended a popular agricultural show in Somerset last weekend.
On Saturday, September 14, the sun shone as visitors attended the Frome Agricultural & Cheese Show.
This year's event had 11 competition sections including the Global Cheese Awards. This year, defending champions Zuivelfabriek De Graafstroom from the Netherlands triumphed once again with their De Graafstroom – Oud, securing the Global Champion title.
The Reserve Global Champion was awarded to Saputo Dairy UK Davidstow for their Mature Cheddar. Saputo Dairy UK Davidstow also claimed the UK Supreme title with their Vintage Cheddar and the Reserve UK Supreme title with their Mature Cheddar.
Highlights of the show included Jonathan Marshall's Free Spirits live experience, The Rockets and The Mangled-Wurzels.

A spokesperson for the show said: "The 2024 Frome Agricultural & Cheese Show was truly a fantastic celebration of great food, farming, and, of course, cheese!

Next year's event will take place on Saturday, September 13 2025.
