Two farms in the Dorchester area had attempted break ins over the weekend.
Officers from Dorchester police attended to rural locations in the area which had been the target of break ins
Although nothing was stolen from either farm, officers talked to the farms' owners about security measures already in place and possible ways of improving security at their farms.
An officer from Dorchester Police said: "Today myself PCSO 5410 and one of Dorset Police's Crime Reduction Officers have visited two separate rural premises whereby they both had attempt break's to their farm buildings, thankfully nothing was stolen.
"We spoke about what security measures they had in place already, walked around the area and suggested other ideas to target harden their buildings further.
"If you would like advice on Crime Prevention be that for your business or residential then please get in contact with your local Neighbourhood Team."
Dorset Police has not confirmed the exact location or time of the attempted break ins.
