ANIMALS have been left stranded by floods in Axminster this morning.
Pictures show a flock of sheep in amongst high water levels in Axminster.
Heavy rain falling in the area has caused the River Axe to rise and flood the surrounding areas around Axminster and Seaton causing widespread disruption.
A number of roads have been blocked by the floods including the A3052 in Seaton and the A358 in Axminster.
Travel Dorset has reported a vehicle stuck in the water on Trafalgar Way and a bus stuck in the flood water on A358 Chard Road.
Farms in the area have been flooded, causing some animals to have been cut off by deep water.
