A YOUNG farmers annual general meeting (AGM) took place earlier this month.

Cornwall YFC members took part in the meeting on October 8, where new county officers were elected and prizes were given out.

Thanks were given to retiring county chair Jordan Edyvean and retiring GP chair Milly Bersey.

The new team for 2024/2025 is as follows: Milly Bersey, County Junior Vice Chairman (Landrake YFC); Beth Whell, County Vice Chairman (Lostwithiel YFC); Sophie Olds, County Chairman (Madron YFC); Ollie Pearce, County GP Chairman (Helston & St Keverne YFC) and Marley Lamerton, County GP Vice Chairman (Roche & District YFC).

Fundraising events and this year's WotNot challenge raised a total of £14,000. A cheque for £7,000 was given to The Sunrise Appeal and £7,000 to The Sensory Trust.
