The UK's largest independent cheese producer has unveiled a bold new brand identity.
Wyke Farms, based in Bruton, Somerset, has rebranded its core range of premium cheddar and butter.
The new look extends across all packaging, marketing communications, website, and social media.
This rebrand showcases the company's heritage while positioning it for future growth in both domestic and international markets.
A new logo is at the centre of the rebrand, reasserting Wyke's global position as England’s Cheddar Makers.
It also displays its founding date, 1861, and its location, Champflower, Somerset.
The new identity presents the company’s dedication to doing things the right way.
There are visual references to the values that differentiate the brand, including personal pride in cheese-making, English farming traditions, a love of nature, and a strong family tradition.
New brand icons represent these values: the Kingfisher symbolises a deep connection to nature; the Wyvern, from the Somerset crest, represents pride in their English cheese-making traditions; the Fox symbolises a love of nature; and the Ferret references a family story.
Rich Clothier, managing director and third-generation family member at Wyke Farms, said: "The core values that underpin everything we do and that have been passed down through the generations of my family will never change, but the way in which we communicate them has been updated and we are proud to reveal our new identity to communicate what really matters to us in a better way."
The rebranding, undertaken by leading brand, design, and marketing consultants Big Fish, builds upon the successful redesign and repositioning of the Ivy’s Reserve brand in 2021.
Wyke Farms’ cheese and butter is made with milk from cows grazing the lush pastures of the Mendip Hills in Somerset, and family-run farms within a 30-mile radius of the dairy.
Wyke Farms products are available in selected Lidl stores and in South West UK Asda and Tesco stores.
The Ivy’s Reserve brand by Wyke Farms is available at Waitrose, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s.
All products are available online at the Wyke Farms and Ivy’s Reserve websites.
