BIRD flue has been confirmed at a farm in Cornwall.
Defra and the Animal Plant and Health Agency said a highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) was found in commercial poultry at a farm near Rosudgeon, St Ives, Cornwall.
This H5N1 strain was confirmed on November 17.

Defra has said a three kilometre protection zone is surrounding the premises, with a 10km surveillance zone.

The government also stated that all poultry on the premises will be humanely culled.
Bird flu spreads through bird's droppings and saliva, or through contaminated feed and water.
