A SOUTH west machinery dealer is holding an event next month to celebrate 20 years of the business.
Compass Tractors, a Fendt dealer, is inviting old and new customers to its Bridgwater depot on December 11 2024.
Robert Owens, sales manager, said the evening will be a 'significant landmark' for the company, but also stressed it will be a good opportunity for members of the farming community to 'enjoy some time away from the farm'.
He said: "We haven’t hosted an event on this scale for nearly 10 years, so we are hoping to make a bit of a splash and give something back to our loyal customer base.
"The last 24 months have been particularly tough for the industry and events like this are becoming so important to share the load by talking to others.”
The evening will include a hog roast, bar, charity auction (from 8:30pm) and a raffle. The proceeds raised at the event will be split between RABI and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Items in the auction include:
- Day’s shooting at Great Holwell Shoot
- Four tickets to Wales v Ireland in the Six Nations
- New MTec Quadmaster trailer
- New Fendt 313 TKC trailed mower
- New Fendt Former 426N single rotor rake
- And more...
Entrants to the raffle can win a £500 Compass Tractors store credit, a a Rolly Toys ride on tractor, a 205-litre drum of oil, or a set of four new Isuzu wheels and tyres.
“Raising money for these essential charities means we can give something back from the evening," Rob added.
"There are some top listings up for grabs in the auction and the raffle, so we hope to raise a decent total for the charities. The whole yard will be covered in marquees with all our franchises attending."
Anyone is welcome to attend the event, which will start at 6pm.
